Just a question: Does your driving demand high speed cornering on smooth dry roads? You will pay significant penalty in ride comfort and wet/snow&ice traction with that fitment.
wheel-size.com shows 255/35-20s on an 8.5 rim with ET47.5 or 245/35-21s on an 8.5 rim with a 44.5mm offset for the S90 T8. I think you need to compare the rolling diameter for the 22s just to see the difference. As to the width, I think its more about getting the offset correct. See if Tirerack.com offers any guidance.
I've run 22's on many cars and I trade them in every 2 years. With the right tires I prefer Continental ExtremeContact DSW06 and they perform flawlessly in all conditions even on 22s. And yes, I demand high speed cornering on dry roads which has also never been an issue.
Well I ended up going with a 245/30/22 and it fit. But the problem is my tire options are limited and I tend to only run the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 tires. I live by them. Unfortunately they discontinued the 245/30/22 so I'm going to try a 255/30/22 when these Pirelli's get end of life. If anyone is running the Continental in a 255/30/22 please let me know!
How is your ride after you got the 22's? I have a 2018 Momentum and keeping flopping back and forth between 20's or 22's. I love the look of 22's not sure about ride quality and meat on tires. i typically use the car for road trips.
