Are you sure your car has the alarm system. That light assy. is more than just an alarm led?If you do have an alarm that works the led might be bad.

Hi Tech!

I'm not yure if my car has factory installed alarm, but I noticed that my remote control to open the car has a panic buton and when I press the red buton the blinkers lights start to flash and the horn starts to beep. I lift up the led on the RT. side speaker and I found the wires conected to the light.
I let the driver side window down and I lock the car with the remote, and if I rich inside and open the door, the alarm never goes off.
Do you know a way to find out if the car has factory installed alarm?

Thanks for the HELP!!!!!!!!!!

The only way I know of is to have the dealer look in the programming on the car. After you lock the car did you wait about 2-3 minutes before trying to open the door. One more thing to try is once you lock the car with the remote and wait a couple of minutes try reaching in and pulling the hood release and see if the alarm goes off.If not you may want to have the dealer check for codes and make sure you don't have a bad door lock. There must be a reason why the alarm isn't arming.
