Hi all,

Recently bought an old 2000 V40, runs great, lousy radio. Trying to upgrade but needing a wiring diagram? Something simple I can use as a guide? Tried getting an adapter, but even though it said it was for my car, wasnt even close. Does anyone know the wire color layout? This is for a V40 year 2000. Two black connectors, a big one and small one.

The big connector has 2 thick red wires, 1 thin red, 1 yellow/white, 1 yellow/red, 1 thick black.

Small connector has, brown/white, white, grey, green/yellow, green/white, green/black, yellow, yellow/black, yellow.

Online sources are cryptic, seeing several diagrams that say they are for my car but not really matching up. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Note I swapped an 816 from an older V70 into my '00 S40 and the connector was the same.
