I'm hoping to tap into the knowledge of this forum. My grandmother's V40 T wagon recently just started w/ this issue. It won't start / stay running unless the gas pedal is depressed. I also noticed that there was a 2 prong plug w/ a red and black wire on the driver's side of the motor between the intake tube and valve cover assembly. I'm assuming it may be a TPS plug that came loose? Can't see anything, anywhere that it can plug into. Please help. I have pictures of the wire, but the mobile version of this forum doesn't appear to allow uploads....or I haven't found it yet.
