I have a 2001 S40 that will not stay running. The first issuewith the car was it would not idle and I had to stay in the gas or the car would shut off. I replaced the Mass Air Flow Sensor and the car will now idle, BUT now it cuts off a few seconds after you put it in gear. Any suggestions?

 

What codes are in the system?

 

I just had this problem. Take the car to AutoZone and have them pull the codes from the car first (it's free) and see what it says. Definitely check out the idle air control valve and the fuel pressure regulator, that's where I'd start.
