Air filter wet
My 2015 Volvo v40 suddenly lost engine power on Monday. Volvo have checked it and said that the air intake had taken in water and the repair was not covered by the warranty. The car had been parked at the airport all week and had not been driven in the wet, Volvo say it's not a design fault. Has anyone else had this problem? It's an auto diesel.
I'd escalate this to the Volvo regional service office - even if you drove in the rain (short of driving through a huge puddle) the intake should never collect water. Sounds like something else is amiss and should be covered under warranty.
