Default diesel turbo b.o.v./dump valve

Hi my 2001 v40 1.9cdi (115bhp) is pushing 27psi under heavy acceleration is this normal? seems high compared to petrol turbos which are generally around 7-17psi depending on mods.
Also I am looking to fit a "Bailey" dump valve/B.O.V (blow off valve) But I don't know if it will make any difference? Any info greatly recieved.

So far I have K&N 57i air filter with cold air intake, Eibach lowering springs, Turbo guage fitted into the centre air duct on dash, Non OEM Strut brace, Shark fin aerial.
