Hello to you all
Just as the weather gets a little warm and I think glad I've got a/c, this happens![sm=badbadbad.gif]
Car is a V40 1.6xsi on an x plate, when the a/c is on and my foot is not on the accelerator such as in slow town traffic the engine sometimes revs wildly as if I was giving the gas pedal short squirts, nearly caused an accident first time it happened as I was coasting up to stationary traffic. It doesn't happen when a/c is off so standard procedure is to turn a/c off when approaching slow traffic, getting to be a real pain. Has anybody else come across this and know the solution?

I would start with cleaning the throttle body and idle motor and then take it from there.
