Hello Volvo friends,

I Already search the entire forum, i saw that some people have the same problem, but i cannot find any way to fix my problem, this radio dont want to read cd that i burn at home. Help please.
And i would like to know if someone already create a way to plug in a MP3 player somewhere.

1. What type of medium are you using? CD-R, CD-RW, Etc...?

2. Are you burning as MP3 or WMA files?

3. What year is youe v40. I am sure there is a Ipod adapter out there for your car. I am using a BlitzSafe on my 1999 s70.

I´m using memorex cdr cd´s of 700 MB (80 min) and i´m using Nero 6 to burn the musics in audio files. I have a 12/2000 1.9 Cdr V40. I know there is Ipod adapter, but its very expensive here in Portugal.
Anyone already see something about connect a regular mp3 to the radio? Or should i tried a diferrent brand of cds and use 650 MB cds?

i had a similar problem in mine. i adjusted the write speed of the burner down to x4. this means it takes a whole lot longer to burn the disc, but now the CD player will play the discs. I have used all sorts of CD media and have found this to be a reliable method.

I have never had a problem with my 2003 V40 stereo reading any of my burned CDs, be they old ones or new ones i burn on my iMac.
