Default Luggage Cover

The luggage cover on my 1999 Volvo V40 has lost it's spring! The roller fell off it's holder (the hat shelf, Volvo call it!) when I took the assembly out to ferry a large item. I put it back, but now it's all floppy and loose. Does anyone know how to re-tension the spring so that it retracts fully when not in use? Thank you!

It's okay --- no panic! --- I worked it out! For anyone else with this prob, the thing to do is insert one end of the roller into its hole and twist the other end until you can't twist it any further. Then insert that end into its hole, and hey presto! The cover retracts instantly! Keep smiling! = Cherrytom

Luggage with Integrated Cover
An improved luggage container with an integrated cover comprises of a first compartment having at least front, rear and side surfaces and a second compartment formed on the backside of the first compartment. The second compartment has a cover defining and providing access to the integrated luggage cover that is permanently affixed to the inside layer of the second compartment. The integrated luggage cover is comprised of a water resistive material and, upon extraction from the second compartment, is deployed to form a protective shell around the first compartment. A permanently affixed cover facilitates the user's need to protect the luggage container in an efficient and convenient manner.
