V40 Idle Issue
I just bought a 2000 V40 and have once again fallen in love with European cars. My wife however thinks that she should NOT have to drive with 2 feet.
It won't start or idle unless I hold some throttle.
I cleaned the and loosened the stuck IAC unsuccessfully, and then thinking it was a bad IAC, I bought a new once, but when I plugged it in, and turned the key all the way to start position with an assistant holding it, it did not buzz/move or anything. I want to make sure it is absolutely the IAC before I attach this part that is more than 10% of what I paid for the car...
I read some other threads, and someone mentioned a blown fuse but did not find anything in either fuse box that seemed to be related to the fuel system/ heater that sometimes causes the issues.
Is there a definitive way to test the IAC/IAC circuit to make sure it is functioning right? Or is there a fuse somewhere other than under the dash/on the drivers side of the engine compartment that may I may be missing?
Thanks
Tim
