My Mom has a Volvo V50 T5 version with AWD and turbo. It has alloy wheels. They always appeared to be a dark silver color. However, when I visited her this year, it appears the wheels are now black, even when absolutely clean. There are a couple "smudges" on the wheels that look like the old silvery color. She has had the car detailed over the years. Has anyone experienced this? Could the detailer have put wax or something on the wheels which changed the color (except for the couple "smudged" areas)? This is driving me crazy because I swear the wheels have changed color and the wagon now looks like a NASCAR!
