The oil dipstick was left up an inch and oil sprayed out and covered the top of engine and alternator. Drove quite awhile and now it appears alternator has shorted internally and drains battery and is not charging. I assume alternator toast. To remove it looks like it raises UP rather then down as some videos show? I assume, disconnect all power and electric leads, loosen belt tensioner, remove three bolts for alternator and lift up and out? Can anyone confirm?

 

No one replied. I figured it out.

remove right front wheel

remove inner liner

loosen belt and remove
disconnect battery and leads

remove air ducting

loosen three 10 mm bolts

carefully remove out top!
