Default Both Sockets Gone?

Both 12V sockets in my 06 V50 are not functioning, including the one on the center console behind the shifter and the one in the backseat area. I have not yet checked the fusebox for blown fuses. Ideas to repair (location, approx. cost, etc.)?

Background: Left an FM transmitter in vehicle for over a period of consecutive months w/o unplugging, which apparently can drain the batter (although all other electrical functions are working and no battery warning symbol has appeared). Thanks in advance.

owners manual will guide you to the fuse box locations in your model. Most likely its the fuse but check the sockets for any crud that may be in there as well as the connectors. If you don't have the owners manual, they are all posted online - google "2006 Volvo V50 Owners manual".
