My driver door doesn't open from the outside, had it stripped down and found the release cable had come loose, put it back together but it has only lasted a day and now it isn't opening again. Would the cable need replacing or is there something g else that would be causing it to come off?

 

you'd have to look closely at both the handle and the cable end to see what has failed. If you want to see a diagram of the replaceable parts, you can search a dealer web store (I use Tascaparts.com but there are others). This may require removing the door card if you have not done so already.
