Default The driver's door did not open inside.

The driver's side door could not be opened inside with interior handle.

I have a 2002 volvo v70. Everthing seems ok before I pressed the central locking buttom at driver door armrest. Now the driver door could not open inside (it could open outside). As I tried to pull the interior handle to open the door, the handle could not automatically go back to right position as usual (need to manually press) . What is the problem with it and how can I fix it?

Thank you very much!

The cable going to the inner door handle came off. You need to remove the door panel and check to make sure one of the tabs did not break.

Not to hijack the thread, but my 98 v70 passenger front door lock won't unlock with the remote. This happened awhile ago, I was simultaneously hitting the remote to open and pulled the door handle and now it does not work. Door still opens and the lock can be opened, but not with the remote.

Do you have to unlock it manually? Or will the switch on the door open it?

"Do you have to unlock it manually? Or will the switch on the door open it? "

It has to be unlocked manually, remote does not open it, neither does the door lock on the drivers door, or the switch on the passenger door.

All other doors open with remote and drivers door lock.

The lock assembly is bad. It is internal plastic pieces that break.

Default Driver door handle not working

Tech,
It looks like one of the tabs that holds the cable end into the door panel has broken off. What piece do I need to replace? Can just the plastic inside the door panel be replaced or does the entire door panel need to be replaced?
Thanks,
Chuck

I have drilled really small hole in the plastic where the cable goes into the panel. Then used a small wire tie to hold the cable into place.
