Exposed drive column above brake pedal and rust?
Hello,
I recently did a surprising discovery -- I "discovered" the steering column / shaft right above the gas and brake pedals is exposed. And most of it is rusty. I called the Volvo dealership today and they said it is "normal" for the column to be exposed and "oxidation" is normal. Well, it doesn't look like "oxidation" to me -- it's more like rust all over the column.
Despite the dealer's claim that it is "normal", I really think this exposed area with all that rust is problematic.*
Does anyone have the same issue?
Thanks.
