Default RE: Stearing column and ignition broke?

Hi Jess,

Greetings from Yokohama, Japan but lived in Chicago until February.

I was not able to comprehend yourquestion 100%, it seems like just a steering lock problem, but then you say the wheels keep turning?

If the shifter doesn't want to shift out of park, it may be either the PNP switch or the micro switch.

As I'm an 850 driver, I am not privy to S70. Post this question (I recommend that you restate it to be a bit more accurate as to what symptoms you're having) in the S70 forum to receive better & accurate answers.

I don't know where in Chicago you live. I only lived there for 11 months and did most of the repairs by myself, and the only reliable shop I know is the dealer where I had 4-wheel alignment. The dealer does charge a lot, but the job would be done the first time (unless they figure you are an easy target):

This dealer is in Schaumburg, they have Volvo, Saab and Cadillac.

Good luck,

JPN
