I asked if anyone knew whether software updates from Volvo were chargeable. JPN answered (thank you) to say he thought that they were free and suggested I contact Volvo. I have done this and they said that in 99% of cases it is a free update. My dealer wanted £50 for a recommended (by the dealer) Power Control Module upgrade. I returned to the dealer and argued the point and when they checked was told the upgrade was free. But when a further check was carried out to I found that the upgrade was carried out during the last service. It looks like I will be changing my service Centre. Thanks JPN you have saved me both time and money.
