Problem Bypass air control/Throttle valve control
Hello everybody.
I have a Volvo V50,(M/Mw76/V50), 1.6d, 80KW, year 2006, engine D4164T.
I have again some problemswith the engine.
The faults codes in VIDA are:
ECM - 68BD Intercooler bypassthrottle - Faulty signal
ECM - 9150 Inlet control valve - Signal too low
ECM - 6890 Intercooler bypass throttle - Signal too low
ECM - 9120 Inlet control valve - Signal missing
ECM - 688D Intercooler bypassthrottle - Signal missing
The full body of this parts-Bypass air control valve + Throttle valve control unit - are new.
First time when the faultscodes starts, the Volvo dealer check the wires, ground connections, fuses...and after that recommend to change the whole part.
After they change it, thefault codes come again. They change again the whole part in warranty, but againthe same fault codes. At that moment they tell me that they believe is the ECU.
I send the ECU to BBA Englandto be check and they tell me that the ECU is fine.
Back to Volvo, they says thatis the ECU.
Contact again the BBA England, they check again the datas and the ECU is fine.
I buy Power Probe Short FinderECT2000 and it never show a broken wire.
I make measurements of thevoltage/resistance of the wires of the valves and I have this values:
Measurements of voltage:
For the Bypass air controlvalve -- A14.4
pin #1 - 4.96 V
#2 – no wire
#3 - 3.2 V
#4 - 12.15 V
#5 - 0V
#6 - 0V
For the Throttle valve controlunit A20.1
pin #1 - 4.96 V
#2 – no wire
#3 - 12.15 V
#4 - 2.77 V
#5 - 0V
#6 - 0V
Measurements of resistance:
For the Bypass air controlvalve -- A14.4
pin #1 - 1 ohm
#2 – no wire
#3 - 1 ohm
#4 - 1 ohm
#5 - 0.7 ohm
#6 - 1 ohm
For the Throttle valve controlunit A20.1
pin #1 - 1 ohm
#2 – no wire
#3 - 1 ohm
#4 - 1 ohm
#5 - 0.7 ohm
#6 - 1 ohm
If anyone has any ideas ismore than welcome.
Thank you.
