I recently recovered the headliner in my '05 V50 with the special foam-backed headliner material. I also used it to cover the sliding sunroof shade, but the headliner fabric with foam backing is too thick and the shade won't slide. I also can't reinstall the rubber trim around the sunroof opening for the same reason.

I tried removing the foam backing from the fabric, but then the headliner glue bleeds through the fabric and it looks terrible.

So I must need a different fabric that's thick enough to glue down, but does not have the foam backing. (I notice in my Toyota that the sunroof shade fabric doesn't have a foam backing, so that must be a thing). Any ideas on where to buy (or even what to call) the sunroof shade fabric?
