T5 Turbo oil feed inlet help
Last week my oil feed inlet line cracked due to rust - so I ordered a new one - bushing and bolts. I managed to get the old one off. But I cannot for the life get the new one bolted on. The top bolt was doable but I cannot get the bottom bolt on....Is there a trick or special tool required to get it on - or do I need to dissamble something to get my hand into that area. I have searched the internet and found a lot of info on the return line but little on the inlet feed so I figure I am missing something...if anyone has done it and knows how I should be assembling it or any tricks ....any help greatly appreciated....

Okay I will answer my own question in case someone has do do this in your driveway. Firstly make sure you observe how the pipe fits between all the hoses and pipes - if it is not set correctly it will not site properly. Because it is so awkward to get at it is very difficult to tell if it is sitting correctly. Once if place I would use something to hold the copper bushings on to the banjo bolt so you can put it in to the engine without the bushing falling off. I ended up soldering the bushing to a copper pipe and feeding it between the engine and holding it in place while I jiggled the bolt into place. I used a pry bar to move and align the bolt to the hole. Then I aligned the top banjo bolt and tightened it down. It is a nasty job without a shop because it is impossible to get your hand in to even touch the bolt. Hopefully this will help someone who has to replace their oil feed.
