Hi, bought a Volvo v50 that doesn’t seem to have any fuel pressure .. have changed the high pressure pump and the fuel rail and still nothing 😔 had the cars ecu and the injectors coded by a volvo tech but the thing just turns over ( will fire on easy start) I can’t for the life of me work out why .. any help would me much appreciated..
There are lift pumps on eBay but the Volvo tech said these only have the one high pressure pump..

This injection system is very picky with air pockets on the suction side of the high pressure pump. I myself had lots of trouble getting it started after a fuel filter change. You must prime the system fully, it will not get rid of the air by itself, despite how much cranking you do. I even tried towing it in gear but nothing. Make sure there is no air in the lines or fuel filter on the suction side of the high pressure pump.
This fuel system does only have an internal lift pump which is built into the high pressure pump.
