Default V50 2005: Power driver seat stop working

Hello,

I bought a 2005 V50 AWD last week. I love the vehicle.
However, the electrical controls of my seat driver stopped
working last night. Someone has already experienced the same? Someone
have a possible solution?

It is very unpleasant because the seat is actually in a very lazy position...

xuor.

Here's the deal. The fuse no85 was actually grilled. I changed it, I could make some adjustments and it still burned.

Yesterday PM, I washed the inside of the V50. I washed the carpet with a spray product ... carpets were not soken wet but it became a little wet in order to wash the surface. Also, I noticed that the seat rails had a lot of grease on them. So I removed the excess ... Perhaps these two actions have generated my problem? I actually putted some silicon spray with red straw upstream and downstream of each rail... I thought it could solve my problem ... but it does not work. I'm under fear of worsening the problem.

Speaking of rail lubrication, is the downstream end of the small cylinders of rails are grease nipples? Perhaps a good lubricating-a using these nozzles would solve my problem?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I suppose you could have caused more drag by removing grease. This would tend to increase the current draw of the motors and possibly result in blown fuses. Or, you could have gotten something wet causing a short.

well it could be a switch problem, a fuse issue. or the control module is shot. i would also check the connector is closed. if not it would be for a dealership/mechanic to figure out.
