Anyone have issues with premature wear on Facoty Michelins? 3/4 are cupped @ 20,000 miles and noisy,need replacement. May be due to suspension design. Tire guys say rotate every oil change.

 

I gave up on Michelin tyres for that exact reason although I do have Michelin Alpin snow tyres on one of my autos. I switched two of my autos to Continental tyres. Contis are original equipment on BMW and have been around for eons. I am very satisfied after a bit better than two years of driving on them. I purchased my two sets from Discount Tyre.

I just bought a V50 that came with Continentals. I'll change them to the energy plus Michelins when the time comes.

I'm on my third set of those Michelins on my 2000 New Beetle TDI. I got 96000 on the first set and 104000 on the second set. The third set still looks new at 240,000 total miles now on the car. I also have the Michelin Energy + on my wife's G35 and they have held up great compared with the original Japanese tires that came on the car.

BTW, my NB is a diesel model that weighs just under 3000 lbs.
