I'm new here but have spent the last few days absorbing lots of fantastic information - thanks all.

I'm going to inspect a 2005 V50 T5 AWD, 50,000 miles - can anyone tell me what I should look out for? Anything that indicates a problem?

From the photos, the car looks in excellent condition and has a full service record so I imagine all is OK but as this is my first Volvo (can't wait to join the Volvo club!) I'm not too sure what to look out for. I would hate to walk away with a lemon

Any help/advice is highly appreciated.

Well, no replies to the thread but I did pick the car up - it is perfect. Interior like new and exterior in excellent condition except for a couple of small dints.

Engine runs well, steering and shocks feel perfect, all electronics work and service record is complete. I think I have managed to avoid a lemon. Which is good.

I'll post some pics soon.
