Hi everyone, does anyone have a how to guide to change the front pads on a volvo v50 54 plate diesel. is it an easy job or a specialist. They need doing so i need to get this sorted quickly, any advice very much appreciated.

hi tech, many, many thanks for the response. you say its easy, i have done pads changes on a few cars but its been a while and i dont want to get it wrong on the volvo.

do you know what i have to do step by step, obv taking of the wheel, jacking up is elementary but i would like to do it properly.

eg. put the correct spring/slide bar back correctly?

do you need any special tools to wind the calipers back?

going to get pads this morning, cheers mate
