01 V70 Oil Sump Seals
I was wondering if the write-ups i've found for the 98-00 V70 oil sump seal replacement would be the same for the 01 V70's.
I was going to let a local independent Volvo shop handle this task but due to limited funds at the moment i'm looking to do this job myself. So if anyone has any advice on tackling this task would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for that, it looks like a struggle on some posts, while others say it is very simple. My main dealer quotes two hours (maybe he made a mistake) He is a long way away, and I do fancy doing it myself so that I can ensure it is very well cleaned. I can't work out if the 850 type V70 instructions also apply to the 2001 onwards models.

A little encouragement for those about to remove the sump on a new-style V70T. After reading all the advice and instructions for releasing the engine mounts and jacking the engine, moving power steering lines etc, I finally bit the bullet and took the sump off my new shape Y Reg 2001 V70 Turbo.
It was a doddle. I simply released the oil cooler, removed the two big bolts that go into the transmission housing, removed the fuel line bolt and all the 10mm bolts - then it just fell off !
I did forget to remove the dipstick tube, but it still came off. It is clearly more fiddly removing Classic V70 / 850 sumps.
