hi,
the tail light which is in between the brake light and the bottom tail light is not lighting up on my volvo. here is what i did

1. opened the insulation on the side where all bulbs were working
2. removed the 2nd socket from bottom
3. the middle bulb was still lit

i removed the speakers and tried to see if i have access from the brake lamps but did not see. how to i access the middle bulb?

this is the number 3 bulb in the v70 manual (page 114). it says rear parking light. on the rear cover page it says bulb # 8.

can you please help?

 

You need smaller hands to sneek up and get it out.
It is a major pain.

 

you better get used to it though - if my experience is any indication, read brake lights will fail every 4 months or so...
