Default 1998 volvo needs heater core

how much of a project is it to chage the heater core. Has anyone done it?. any idea what the stealership charges to change it out. thanks in advance

Look at the sticky at the top of this section for how to. Heater core can be purchased at FCP and IPD about 150.00. Will need new o-rings ect. Not a bad job, just time consuming the first time. Search other posts and see if it is something you want to attempt.

Thanks I did not notice the sticky when i posted.........it looks pretty simple I was thinking the dash would have to come out.........could you help me with the FCP and IPD I don't know what they are..........

I ggogled it and figured out the fcpgroton and the IPD.thanks again........do you know if the 1998 v70 xc has a cable to the TB or does it have the throttle by wire..........thanks.......

If it's not too late, would suggest you go with OEM on heater cores and radiators; usually that's Behr.
