Default 1999V70 GLT Trunk Open Light on...Question??

Thought I'd post this here in V70...
Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but the orange light, door open, is ON. I checked all of the 5 doors, and they are closed. I am assuming a bad switch? Here is my question, the warning light is an outline of a car, with the trunk open, I get that part. But does this light ONLY mean that it is sensing that the tailgate (wagon) is not closed, or could it also be referring to ANY of the 5 doors on the car? Has anyone else had this situation before? Basically trying to pinpoint which door is not sensing correctly. Or how does one figure it out? Thanks for your comments, suggestions, or ideas. Please feel free to chime in. Regards, TrouperL

I don't have that car so I'm not sure. What you can do it open another door, like the rear passenger side and see if it shows that one open as well.

As for why it shows open, likely a bad rear hatch switch in the latch.

Well, I hunted through the on-line owners manual for about 10 minutes and it looks like you have a tailgate open light. If it's #8 here:

That would be only for the tail gate. The other doors would trigger the overhead lights and probably would not give you a dash warning.
