2000 V70 - Vibration / Motor Mount / Please Help
Just bought a used Volvo 2000 V70 . When I drove the car and really liked it except for a bad vibration
that occurs during stops . The dealer said he was waiting for a new motor mount bushing that would
fix the problem . I really needed a car so I made the purchase in good faith assuming a simple bushing
replacement would fix the problem . The dealer picked up the car and replaced the motor mount , and
the vibration seeedm to be much better , but not great for a car with 56000 miles . I drove the car for a
week , and the vibration was back to where it was before , but worse . The dealer picked up the car again
made the repair , and claimed that was a good as it was going to get . Is this vibration normal ? THe dealer
claims that these cars just run a little rough . Any help would be greatly apreciated . Maybe I m just paranoid ,
but a car shouldn't vibrate like a bus when you're at a stop light .
Thanks in advance ,

First he replaced the motor mount bushing on the top side of the motor . This helped for a week . Then I guess some how the bushing
shifted #@%##& ? causing the vibration to occur again . The top side motor mount bracket had been banging on the mounting assembly since the bushing shifted . I'm pretty shure he didn't clean the throttle body . I hope a didn't make a big mistake buying from this guy .
Is this a common issue for this Year Make and Model ?
thanks again ,

Check the front engine mount on the right side of the car on the bottom where the engine meets the subframe. If that mount saggs with age there will be a bad vibration.
Also check both the hydrolic mounts.
The engine mounts on any car will wear with age but not in a weak. You must have gotten a bad part or something like that.
