2001 v70 24t A/C issues
Here is my problem. The A/C pumps wonderfully cold air ........for about ten minutes then nothing but warm air.
Do I just need freon? Do I have to replace the whole A/C? Is the fix something a novice do it yourselfer can do? I ve changed bulbs, oil, tires but never attempted anything "under the hood".
Thanks in advance for your help.

Start the car and turn on the AC. Pop the hood and look at the compressor. Does it cycle off & on? If so, it's likely low on freon. You can have a AC repair person try to find the leak for you or do it yourself. You will need to service the system with leak detection freon and check it with a black light in a few weeks.
If the compressor comes on and stays on, does NOT cycle, you likely have another problem like a bad fan relay or something like that. Read around and figure it out. Mine will run solid for two or three trips them cut out of no apearant reason and won't come back on unless I cut the system off for 5+ minutes.
