I have a 2001 v70 2.4t, fuel filter is under the car , inbetween the front and back doors. kind of half way along the car..
can't remember what side maybe drivers? if its not there you may have a in tank fuel filter.

The fuel filter is situated under the rear of the car just forward of the fuel tank. The pressure must be relieved before you remove any joints. The filter as two pipe conections one at each end,on the inlet is a valve like atyre valve unscrew the cap and relieve presure use eye protection and a container to catch fuel . Clean all the working area first.And mop up any fuel at the end. Hope this is of some help to you . I dont know a lot about this model at the moment i have read about it in my workshop manual.
