yesterday took wife's V70 to fuel up. i put my finger in the raised bump on the fuel door and gave it a little, and i mean little nudge. the door popped out and came detached from the plastic slots that hold the spring hinge in place.
apparently, the plastic pieces on the door that engage the solinoid pin as well as a plastic piece on the same side of the door had broken off.
Q1 How does the door fit back on?
Q2 Can on buy the plastic insert in the fuel door?
This part seems like a weak part....

I've found that the door hinges are of a poor quality, and have had to change mine twice. A Volvo dearlership should have them in stock, and it's a relatively easy proceedure to replace. With a punch, gently push through the remaining bits, then holding the new hinge in place, again, gently tap the pins until they are flush! It's a pain genting the spring into position!!!!!
