Hello, Turbochargers add a lot of heat to the conditions of operation. An oil with an ACEA rating of A3,B3 would have been recommended by the manufacturer. Over here Mobil1 0W-40 (a true Group IV PAO oil) is highly regarded. German Castrol 0W-30 is also highly regarded. Both have the term "European Formula" on the bottle. There are others. Do a search on this and other Volvo boards. Also, go to Bobistheoilguy[dot]com, they have a European section. Kira
