Hi there, Im new to this forum since Ive been looking everywhere for a solution to a problem that I have with a v70 that a friend and I bought with a bad head.
We replaced the head, and when we went to start, we couldnt get it to start, Turns over, Good spark, good fuel pressure but plugs are dry as a bone. Injectors seem not to be firing and the led flashes rapidly for about 15 seconds when the key is in the on position then stops.
We dont have a fob, just a Volvo key and another key without the rubber piece. ex owner said its only for the doors. Anyways, locking the doors with the key does not make the led flash slowly as it does on my personal s70, and locking the car with the key and opening the door from inside does not trip the alarm as it does with my volvo.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Borrowed an x431 computer from a friend and got these codes...





But the help button does not return any text for these particular codes.

I changed the antenna ring and it stopped doing the light thing but it still wouldnt start. I put the original back on, it started flashing for 15 seconds again so I replaced the ring one more time but it flashes for 15 seconds now with both antenna rings.. Any idea on what to do with these codes??

One thing I found today was the ignition coil wiring had melted together with the ground but it was hiding inside the black tubing. This was between the #4 and #5 coils, or the last two next to the timing belt. I separated all the wires, fixed them, electrical tape and new black plastic flex tube. could that have caused a problem with the alarm system/ecm?

Anyways, I have great spark, good fuel pressure but injectors refuse to work.

Where are you located? The '98 V70's did NOT have coil packs or antenna ring.
