Question 98 V70 T5 issue?

I'm the proud owner of a 98 V70/T5 w/ 225k miles on it (yeah, I know it's still a baby).

Because of oil building up on top of the engine, I replaced oil seperator and gave the ptc a good cleaning, although it wasn't near as gunked as some I've seen. Some of the vacuum hoses were replaced due to age/dry rot, but all hoses, tubes, etc were replaced correctly into position.
The trouble is it's now misfiring under load. It idles fine, but once in gear, it hesitates noticably under any accelleration. It doesn't seem to be a fuel flow issue and I'm wondering of the airflow sensor decided to quit on me.
Any input, thoughts, etc, would be most appreciated!
Yes, it was running very smooth prior to replacing the oil seperator..
Thanks...
Michael

Michael, you sound pretty compident. Maybe you're just looking for confirmation. My guess is that you have low fuel pressure. Maybe bad wires if they have not been changed lately.

Default oops...and a new issue

so much for competent...turns out that when we hosed the engine down to determine the leak, I got water in one of the spark plug shafts, successfully preventing it from sparking plus got one of the electrical connections wet enough to stop it as well. Dried out, the car runs great.

Trouble is, the oil leak is still there. Will be cleaning it up to determine where it's coming from and headed to step 2.
Any suggestions are welcome. The leak only happens after the car has been running for about 15 minutes, but it's spewing enough that the back window is well clouded after being on the road a bit....

Have you changed the plugs?

I had a similar problem with my daughters S70. Not so much of the oil on the rear glass but oil leak, yuk.

Turned out that the cam seals and a plate on the back of the motor was leaking. I guess it was a result of the previous owner replacing the cam seals with after market seals and not replacing the PCV system. I thought it would go a few months (about 6) before needing new cam seals, but that was before I put my foot in it and blew the front one clean out.
