hello everyone sorry ive been away for a while ive been busy with work n such but i recently had to put a 02 sensor in sensor 1 bank 1 and i bought it and installed and still it says i need the sensor for that sensor and ive just replaced it but ive been driving for atleast 2 weeks already jeez driving everyday

 

In my experience, just because the CEL shows this sensor code does not mean it is the sensor causing the problem. It means that sensor sensed something that was not right. Most likely it is detecting an actual problem with the quality of the exhaust (air/fuel mixture ratio). Your best bet would be to measure the voltage coming from it to see what it is telling you and compare that to what it should read. Sorry I don't know what that ideal value is.

Also, you could have an issue with the wiring for that particular sensor's connector. Try tracing it as far back as possible. Also check the continuity between the sensor connector and the ECM. Also sheck to make sure no wires are shorted to chassis ground that are not supposed to be. The reason why I say this is because the continuity could appear to be good, but it could also be shorted. Do you have a schematic? I will try to find one and post it.
