hey all!
i'm new to my volvo ('02 V70 T5 A) and new to this forum. i'm posting to ask if anyone has experienced/heard of/has any input on what's happening right now. today and yesterday my has given me two messages. "ABS Service Required" and "STC Service Required". yesterday they appeared for about 30 minutes and then went away on their own after i had turned off the car. towards the end of my drive to work today the "ABS" message turned on again along with the check engine light, which did not appear previously. there does not seem to be any difference in the way that it drives. whats going on??

 

might be your ABS module, get your codes ran.

 

Hello, Do a search of ABS Module Failure on this and other boards. If it sounds like you then removal requires an E5 torx socket. Inspect the connections yourself or mail it out to one of several rebuilders. How long have you owned your Volvo? Kira

 

I've actually had mine about 3 days! Last night all of the warnings went away so this morning i used my autoscanner and came up with no codes. I'm assuming one of the ABS/STC sensors is dirty or going bad because it's been intermittent and everything seems to be functioning correctly. But I'm loving her! So much better to drive than my '01 Ford Focus. Assembled in the 3rd ring of Hell.
