My AC/Heat fan stops working correctly after a while (time varies). It sounds like it is blowing out of the defroster area only. What could cause this?

 

Not a lot of info here but I will give you my story.
02 V70 with automatic climate control, when mine did that the entire unit needed replaced. The auto sensor was getting confused. Thank fully under warranty.
