Brake failure pull over asap! & STC Failure & check engine light
Hi All,
I drive 100+ miles each dayand keep getting these error messages intermitantly come up and goaway throughout my trip, "Brake failure pull over asap! and STC failure and check engine light" The car has been diagnosed and just a general error messageis what came upfor the tech, he did say the brakes were rusted and needed cleaned. He told my dad to bring the car back whenit happens again, but it never happens on cue or stays on for any given time. Can anyone recommend a good tech in southern California for me? Or give some advice on how I might fix this myself. I'm due for a smog check next DEC and I'm told if any lights are on the dash, thecar automatically fails, I'd personaly like to sort this out before then. Thanks for your time and support.

Hey tech, Good News!
I took my car to the technician this weekend and he fixed the year longproblem that I had. It was the abs module like you said. The module was easy for me to take out, however disconnecting the cable that goes to it was the tricky part. I broke the brittle piece of plastic that shielded the cable from heat. Non-the-less everything works fine now and it was a learning experience for me. I wish you guys a merry christmas and thanks again.
