Cam Locking tool Install
Hello, looking for advice on using the cam lock tool.
2000 V70, replacing the cam shaft seals. I have the cam lock tool and have the timing marks all lined up and the covers off the rear cams. The slots on the rear cams are almost aligned to get the tool in and secure. How do I get them aligned? The timing belt is still on and under tension, I know the VVT on the exhaust side is spring loaded. Do I mark everything good, release the tension on the timing belt and assume the VVT on the exhaust side will "spring back" and align fo the tool? Crankshaft bolt is lose and Im ready to move forward but don't want to jack anything up. If there is a post about this already please point me in the right direction, I couldn't find anything with the search option. Bu then again I am more of an old grease monkey then a computer wiz. Have a great day!
