car starts and stalls immediately
I have a 2001 V70 2.4T with 157,000 miles. This afternoon on my way home from work it started sputtering when it was idling at a red light. Once I got home, I shut if off and went to start it again... It will turn over and then immediately stalls.
The error message regarding Emissions service required (or something to that effect) is on.
Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Update: I've been researching online and wondering if it could be the Electronic throttle. I've already had this replaced once.

Yes it could be the throttle body.
BUT you will have to have the codes pulled to know for sure.
About 50 other things can cause the same thing.
If the ETM is bad if you have less than 200,000 miles it is under warranty.
If you paid to have it replaced once you should get reimbursed for it.
