I was wondering if anyone has had this happen to them before. My climate control unit has been acting up on occasion. i have a 1998 volvo v70 with dual climate control. At times when i start the car the a/c on and off switches blink on and off. the blinking alternates from on to the off switch. after a minute it resets i assume and the a/c off switch stays illuminated. i was wondering if it is possible that the unit has failed. the a/c switches illuminate when pressed, but my ac does not come on when i turn the switch on. ??????? seems odd to me, but any insight would be great!

 

The lights flashing usually means a fault somewhere in the system.

 

is it possible the dash unit is the fault? this is a very vague question i know it could be any number of things, so i know you can not answer for sure

 

Possible but not likely it could be as simple as the interior temp sensor fan being seized.
