Default courtesy lights won't go out!

The courtesy lights (either side of mirror and above both rear doors) decided not to turn off today. They have acted up on occasion, but re-closing the passenger door would turn them off. Today, opening and closing all the doors several times would not turn them off so I switched them off. I don't see any contact switches in the doors, so any suggestions as to where to look would be appreciated.
thanks
(car is a '98 V70)

When it is dark go out and sit in the car and flip the switch back on. Then from inside look for the red door safety light to be on. It usually means the one that is on is the door latch assembly that is bad.
