Default Cruise control not working

Hi all, right i have just had my cars oil changed by a friend, and since getting the car back my cruise light wont come on, so it dosnt engage.I have checked the fuses, and they all seem okay. everything else in the car works. Where do i look next.

I use the cruise alsmost daily and feel totally lost with out it.

Help!!

On my 850's the first think I look for is a lose vacuum line.

Its a 2001 V70 T5 cruise control buttons are in the sterring wheel

hi, no check lights at all, everything is normal except the cruise light wont come on and cruise control wont engauge. apart from this everything in the car is normal.

Try this it ONLYtells you what system has codes won't tell you what they are.

With the car running push in and hold the read button on the end of the turn signal stalk.
Then press the rear foglight button 3 times fast then release the read button. In the display window to the left will will check DTC's in the car. Press the read button to look at each system.
See if there is codes in the following systems.
ECU
TCU
BCM(ABS)
CEM

Check that and let me know.

Right done that and here are my findings

ECU DTC SET
TCU SET
BCM(ABS) CHECKING
CEM DTC SET

The ECU DTC set most likely is stopping the cruise from working.

right, i suppose this means a trip to the local volvo dealership, and pay thier high prices. thanks for your help
