Default Door speakers speaker wire help =[

hmmm, so today i installed a new head unit into my 1998 v70 , a 230 watt amp and a 10" subwoofer. Next i wanted to change the tweeters and door speakers and install a 4 channel amp to power them.

My plan is to cut the stock speakers speaker wire and then connect the new tweeters and speakers to the original speaker wire throughout the car and then take the speaker wires from behind the head unit and then and attach them to the amp. The amp im going to use puts out 60 watts RMS and i believe 100 watts peak per channel.

So what i need answered is can the stock speaker wire handle that power from the amp? ... or do i have to replace all the speaker wires though out the car.. which might be a pain the the toosh >__<

Thanks guys for the help!

The stock speaker wire is very thin and I replaced my speaker wire. The amp will run cooler and and will last longer.Hope this helps.
