Door trim glue

Hello - I have recently repaired a hinge problem on the driver's door of my 1998 V70 XC AWD Turbo. Removing the door trim to get to the hinge access cover/door, I realised that the glue between my outer level trim, and the part underneath that has the window and wing-mirror switches in it, had detached and was brittle. As is normal, I also broke several of the plastic clips (red and white) that hold both layers of trim to the door, when I was removing them.
Can anyone tell me what glue I should use to re-attach the two layers of door trim together similar to the way they would originally have bonded?
Thank-you.

The interior trim on your Volvo V/S 70/850 doors is in two layers which are glued together; a front layer which hooks over the door lock **** and tucks in next to the lower window seal, and which is also clipped to the metal door body by the infuriating little clips that break when you remove them. Then there is a back layer which (when the two layers are separated) is held in place by the torx screw on the part of the door you use to pull it shut. That layer also has the switches for the windows, wing-mirror etc in it. Normally, the door trim appears as one piece, but it is in fact made-up of two layers that are glued together, that could possibly stay together if you have to remove the trim. Mind didn't, and showed themselves to be largely separated when I took the trim out. I need a glue that will hold these two parts together, and not damage the materials they are made of if it isn't the original Volvo glue.
