Default Educate me ...

Hello everyone,
Picking up a very clean 1998 V70 T5 , I would like to build it up to keep up with my friends first gen BMW M3 which is a full track car .... I've had some big power American muscle never Swedish lol.

Thanks for the welcome ... So how will my brick do on the track ? I figure I'll do the suspension first , brakes and then I'll do some power upgrades .... How much FWHP can I expect for $5k?

Congrats! I have a 98 also, v70 awd. Also owned a 89 325is in early 90's with dinan chip. Fun car. As you already know, you can do a lot with the volvo turbos. One of the limitations you face is weight--volvos are heavy. There are stories out there of some real beasts, but then there is that line where you lose daily driveability/dependability--although the t5 will take more abuse than most engines. Good luck!
